Learning how to manifest good things begins with developing a deeper understanding of how manifestation works and the order in which it is created. While you may have repeatedly heard “think positive”, it is not simply the discipline of positive thinking that materializes the good. Positive thinking must be matched equally with like feelings, beliefs, and actions. Forced mental activity means little without its counterpart, the spirit of the heart and action. First, let’s look at some simple rules regarding the law of attraction:
How to Manifest Good Things | 5 Vital Steps to Positive Materialization
Thinking Must be in Conjunction with Feeling – Although thought is the cause of all creation, thinking is not an island of its own. The idea that all thoughts just originate from our own heads suggests that each one of us is completely independent from one another, as though we are not part of a whole. Yes, we each can become a master of our own thoughts, but we must also understand that thoughts are everywhere, influence is everywhere, and we each possess a subconscious connection to the universe of thought. The universal mind if you will. You have likely experienced thoughts that seem to drop into your mind from apparently nowhere. In fact, some of those thoughts may have been the trigger of anxiety. Reason being, we have a tendency to latch onto thoughts that enter our minds as though they are our own and this triggers an emotional reaction. Before we know it, we’re fearing the thoughts and judging ourselves for having them.
Even thoughts that don’t originate within, can create a destructive pattern as we try to wrestle with them and shut them out. The key is to simply notice them rather than react, for it is the feelings that act as fuel, not the thoughts themselves. The thought is the vehicle that carries the fuel. The fuel is both emotion and action, and our consciousness is the driver of that vehicle. We’ll move onto consciousness and action in the next steps for how to manifest good things, but for now we’ll concentrate on feelings. Emotion is what gives thoughts life and energy. It is the source for turning a hollow thought into one that has a life force. This life force energy is what creates a magnetic field which draws unto itself like energy, hence the power behind how to manifest good things.
Consciousness – It is our awareness and conscious attention to thought that enables the ability to select the right thoughts, the ones that serve and not the ones that hinder. If you tune your awareness to every thought that enters your mind, you will quickly see that your mind fills with an endless array of unwanted thoughts. They are thoughts of worry, fear, superstition, anger, resentment… alongside all kinds of nonsensical stuff. Thoughts you may not even understand in terms of their origin.
To train the mind to disregard some thoughts and focus on others is quite a feat, but it is not achieved by resistance, but rather by selection. Don’t try to push away “bad” thoughts by judging them and reacting to them. It serves only to amplify the feelings which in turn invites similar thoughts. Instead, you must turn your attention to the thoughts that align with your goals. Don’t push away, just shift your attention. This is the first step in conscious thought selection and the beginning of how to manifest good things.
Action – A thought without any emotion or action at all means that the thought may carry little weight. While thought is the first step in all creation, in the manifestation of ideas, it increases in its power when it is backed by belief, emotion and action. Action is the final stage in manifesting thoughts into reality. Action creates movement and energy. One could easily argue then that this is simply a physical thing and not really how to manifest good things. I need money, I get a job, I go to work, I get a paycheck. That kind of thought to action scenario refers to everyday existence and regular practice, but we’re speaking here about all the nuances of action, not just the obvious ones.
Action can be as subtle as a change in attitude, a change in dress, or a shift in daily habits. Action can also come from an internal hunch, or a hankering to do something out of the ordinary, something that isn’t the same old repeating pattern of the familiar. You might have the thought that you want a change in career, which might prompt another thought that you might carry yourself in a different way or adopt a new habit or even dress in a different way. Action could involve visiting a place that aligns with your new goal or getting up at a certain hour and spending time at your favorite coffee shop where you can plan your goals on paper.
Action does not only involve the logical steps to seeing your thought come to fruition, but it includes all the subtle steps such as symbolic gestures that bring the idea into your current reality. Acting as if you are today, that which you think you would like to be, is fuel for your thoughts. It brings the dream into the here and now. To realize your thoughts, you must continually bring the thought goal into the now by way of action, whether it is practical action in the form of sending letters, inquiries or resumes, or it is in acting out the impulses which align with the thought and the goal.
Right Order – Now let’s get to the order of things. The question is “how to manifest good things.” While it may seem an exercise in “getting”, the law of attraction states that first you must give that which you wish to receive. The act of giving sets in motion the energy of the good things we wish to realize. Just as they say, “the first person to apologize wins”, the first person to create good things is already in receipt of good things. To receive good things, you must demonstrate good things. It has nothing to do with your deservingness of them and everything to do with your creation of them. By giving that which you wish to receive, you automatically align yourself with the energy of your wish. We’ll call it “getting the ball rolling” or “priming the canvas.” You must create the place that will house your wishes by aligning with that very energy, the one that you wish to draw from the universe. Just as you receive love when you demonstrate love, you will also receive good things when you become the giver of good things. In fact, you become the good thing and unto that you will attract more of the same.
Recognize Everything – If you want to know how to manifest good things and multiply the goodness that comes your way, you must continually breathe life into it by way of heartfelt recognition. To ignore a blessing, no matter how small, is to say you don’t need, nor desire it. At every step of the way, whether it is an inspiration you receive, a compliment, a treat, validation, new awareness or anything that arrives in the form of positive light, you must acknowledge it with full appreciation. Like attracts like and remember, the exercise of doing good, feeling good and being in a state of goodness will draw unto itself more in its kind. Good things beget good things. It is goodness in perpetual motion and gratitude is the fuel that continually feeds its manifestation. These are the five vital steps for how to manifest good things.
